That is, The "Container" is not the "content"

yep, cause the vibaration of the tree going through the air and then the vibraiton of the impact causes soudn to be produced [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Well, Philosophers might have a different idea of sound, but the technical concept of sound is a longitudinal wave in any media (typically air), produced by some sort of movement or collision. So I guess the tree does sound, as Xellos said (he said it first, so if that's the correct answer, he should get the point).
